l.bug, you're just too much fun. i sincerely doubt a night starting out hanging out in PB but ending up at a cheesy strip club would have occurred with many of my other friends. besides, it was a main reason for my going to the gym this morning. so all is well and good with the world.
side note: strip clubs are best taken with a grain of salt..and a shot of tequila with a slice of lemon.
so today was all about organizing getting my butt down to the tattoo parlor. bloody finally.
first i woke up around 12:45 in true college style. turned out k had a physical to go to at 130, so that tied her up til afterwards. joe and his new jailbait gf were good to go at any point in time, so that was all taken care of.
jailbait. she's 16. he's 20. a constant source of amusement, that is. k calls her 'the fetus'. so really, boys and girls, /neko, for once, isn't all that mean in comparison.
and then, i got my tattoo.
wee! its the chinese symbol for jaguar, done just above the small of my back. yes, i know chinese symbols have been done to death and yes i know that everyone gets them done in the small of their back, but fuck off, i don't care. i always wanted a tat on my back, and i lived in japan for three years. that has to entitle me to the rights to the orientalness. yeah. so there.
it actually didn't even hurt as much as i thought it would. if asked to describe, i would say it was like an extended cat scratch that you just can't move away from. interesting, and the nice little endorphin high you get into after a few minutes is a nice touch.
it looks pretty sweet, if you ask me. black, edged in blue. i like. thank goodness, right, since i'm stuck with it the rest of my natural born life.
was interesting sitting there in the chair and realizing that this is is, this mark is going to be on my skin forever. piercings aren't quite the same thing, they're just holes. this is actual decoration and color. but i like it, and i'm glad i got it.
k and i then hung out at the Living Room for a little while, then went to see Not Another Teen Movie. quite honestly, if you've seen the previews, you've seen the movie. although molly ringwald has a nice cameo, and i liked all the little touches; like naming the high school John Hughes High School, or the baloney falling off the sculpture during the Breakfast Club spoof. nice, but not worth the $8.50. ah well.
i still have no idea what i'm doing for new years. the swing thing here in SD is something i could miss, since i don't know anyone THAT well who's going, but if i go back up to davis, that means i won't get to see mitch when he comes back from hawaii. on the other hand, there's going back up to davis with tahoe and party with bri et al..
hard choice, since i'd really like to see mitch again. not often you find a guy who gets the mojo working well and is also a pretty decent guy. but not too decent.
mutter. i need inspiration.
