that said, i simply must post this, courtesy of Tatsuya Ishida of Sinfest comic. And yes, i know its early for 2000 sum-ups, but i wanted to get it in before the rush starts and you get sick of them.

the year 2000, in a nutshell:

Y2K, we hardly knew ye: 'Twas the year of millionaires and survivors, MP3s, DVDs and SUVs. Our Firestones blew up and Elian got Fed Exed outta here. We witnessed the best Superbowl of modern times and the worst Presidential election ever. Chris Rock observed: "The best golfer is black and the best rapper is white." Confused yet? Sparky achieved nirvana, the Olympics O.D.ed, and Obi-Wan gave up the ghost. Now the First Lady's off representing the Big Apple and the Material Girl got hitched. Yep, we're going straight to hell on a razor scooter. So let the trumpets sound and the horsemen ride. (And no betting on the horses, people. Let's go out with style.) See ya in '01.
